Der Name des Spiels geht auf die UH-1 „Huey“ Helikopter der Firma Bell Helicopter zurück, die zwischen 1959 und 1987 produziert wurden und in zig Ausstattungsvarianten erhältlich waren, sowohl für militärische als auch für zivile Zwecke.
Das Spiel erschien bereits 1985 bei Cosmi für den Commodore 64, weitere Versionen gibt es für Amiga, Atari ST, Atari XL/XE und MS-DOS.
